Hi! This is me, Nina :) |
I have Cystic Fibrosis. You can read more about this disease by checking the links in the tab "What is CF".
Why blogging?
I got the idea from another blogger called "Inhaling Hope". You can go directly to her blog through this link:

I found her page when I googled how to make CF nails beautiful because, as you might or might not know, CF nails look quite peculiar. It is one of the few physical signs to look out for when trying to spot a CF. She inspired me to tell my CF story too.
Some personal information
Born: 1 January 1993
Country: I live in sunny South Africa.
Occupation: Student. I am doing a general BA in Maths and English. After that I will do a teacher's diploma in the FET phase and voila! - need I say more?
Height: 1.86m
Weight: 61kg
Built: I am very skinny, though I don't think I am unhealthily skinny. I don't have calve or thigh muscles. My butt is quite tiny and I rarely fill up my jeans. My tummy and hips, though, are quite bulgy and I even have some love-handles!
Size clothing: Top: Medium to large - due to my bulgy tummy :(
Bottom: Varies from size 32-36, though mostly I wear 34's.
(I tend to buy larger sizes because I am so tall and the clothes nowadays are only made for elves, apparently.)

Shoe size: 8-9
Being a CF sufferer can be extremely difficult and can make life miserable. (Refer to my first blog entry: Born to Age 13). So we have to motivate and keep in touch with each other.
